Round 2!

well its that time of year again, school time. the relationship i have with august is love- hate. i love the summer heat and the cool swimming pools, and i hate that i will have to give it up to be in a classroom all day.  no, i don't hate school but yes, i do hate that summer has to end.  this year i was planning on moving back to logan on august 23rd and begin classes on the 27th.  well, about three and a half weeks ago all those plans got thrown out the window.  i received an unexpected call from my previous spirit squad/ aggiette coach asking me to return to the team.  i hadn't tried out again because i wasn't sure if i wanted to do it again. it can be so stressful and it is a full time job!  after a week of thought and a nice meeting with my coach i decided to give it a go one more time. all my summer plans were cut short by almost three weeks and moving up to logan came much quicker.
i am now back in logan and seriously happier than i have been in a long time.  when i talked to my coach she also asked me if i would be the team trainer. so, obviously  i ecstatically accepted and today was my first day training with the team.  i absolutely LOVED every second of it!  today we did one of the benchmark workouts that we do at my gym GPPfit and it is called "FitZoner".  we had to do the dancer version of the workout since we don't have a place to do pull ups! (Burpees instead of pullups)

as you can see, the workout is pretty self explanatory. the goal is to do all of that in under 20 minutes.

this workout hit the team like a brick wall! everyone looks awesome and all the guys are very strong but i don't think any of them have done a workout designed like this. ever. so it shocked their bodies and only 10 or so finished including me. but, it was their first day and it will get easier for them in no time at all! i am excited to do this one with them again so that they will be able to see their progress.

well that's all for today! hope you enjoyed!

xo,

Lil Kate
